PROJECT ART CREW

Jerry Tayor - An artist out of Waterford, CA. I started painting acrylic paintings at the age of 14 and moved into oil paintings specializing in landscape art.  After 3 years of painting in high school, I took a 20 year break. My wife recently inspired me to get back into painting as well as doing than just landscapes. My wife made me realize how much I missed painting and now I'm back at it.

Phyllis Sullivan - My hope is that my art will inspire others to become all they can be, to lighten a heavy heart, to speak to the soul.  My favorite thing to paint is flowers, rustic barns and to recreate the old with a fresh new color and vigor.   My inspiration comes from love and when in love I create beauty that emerges from within me. The journey of life is precious with each breath and with life and love the dark is over come with light.

Monica Gunderson - Currently, I am working as a freelance artist, the lead artist for Kolony, and have also been participating in art activities with Peer Recovery Art Project in Modesto, California. I have had to take some down time due to health reasons that are beyond my control. I have tendon-related issues in my right hand and unable to paint and draw at this time. However, I am experimenting with painting and drawing with my left hand until I am able to use my right hand again. If your interested, you can see my "Left-Handed Painting Series" on my website at

James Devlin and born Durblin Ireland - I do not like to be stigmatized; my mental state was not good. I was drinking a lot and in and out of mental institutions and jail. What helped my recovery was Peer Recovery Art Gallery and the people that associate with the gallery. The support I got was amazing, the people, the places, and the art. Know I take my medicine as prescribed I've been clean for five years. I see my Doctors on regular basis and I have hope! So know I do a lot volunteer work and a lot of painting. I stay around positive places, people and things. I do like mental health system, I think it's broke! You just stay on track and don't give up there are good peoples who will help you and places that help to. You spread the word and help as much as you can. I think all of you for help and support.

RAKI AND LETY HAIR ACCESSORIES

I have been making hair accessories since the beginning of 2012, I was inspired to design them after my son's wedding when his bride didn't have a hair ornament to wear. I created Raki and Lety Hair Accessories and Jewelry thinking of the young brides that like to wear something simple and elegant but affordable to enhance their hair.

I have been crafting combs, barrettes and pins using fresh water pearls, glass beads and natural gems and stones. My products have been bought in Canada, Israel and England as well as in several states in the US. The most popular item is the fresh water pearls pins for brides and the small combs. I can craft any item custom made, I sell mostly on exhibits at special events in the valley.
